    The report  on  the participation of the President of  IICC  Mr.Igor  Khaustov in the last Business Forum in Tokyo 09 - 13 November 2015

    Since antiquity, Japan is one of the most important trade partners of Russia in  Asia-Pacific region, keeping the second place in terms of turnover after China. However, the level of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of economic relations  does not correspond to the existing potential of both sides, which is characterized by uneven development, structural imbalances (Russian exports is much higher than imports from Japan). Russian's share in Japanese exports in 2003 amounted to only 0.4%, imports - 1.1% in the total volume of foreign trade - 0.7%. The share of Japan in Russian  trade, amounted  to 2% .

    In order to elaborate steps for changing the situation in the economic and financial relations between Russia and Japan, the Corporation «ADVANCED MATERIAL JAPAN CORP»,  initiated  the Business Forum, which was attended by the representatives of more than 250 companies and corporations, prominent government officials and business representatives, academics, experts. Inter-industrial Consulting Company (IICC) was represented at this  forum by his  President – Mr.Igor Khaustov.

    During the forum, Igor Khaustov held bilateral talks with representatives of the international business community. Among them should be noted the meeting with the General Director of the state company «JOGMEC» Mr. Natsumi Kamiya, wth whom was  discussed issues of cooperation in the field  of petroleum products, as well as gas and metal supply. «JOGMEC» - a leading Japanese company specializing in mining, procurement of oil, petroleum products, gas and metals. Also they were productive talks with representatives of  «Advanced Material Japan Corporation», a leading Japanese company in  rare metals trade.

    The next day, the President of the IICC held talks with one of the leaders of «AMJC» company, the Deputy Director General, Mr. Masayuki Kamoshida. Both sides discussed issues relating to the supply of rare metals, joint business in third countries and signed an agreement on cooperation in this sphere.


    Then Igor Khausto  discussed with representatives of non-profit research organization «Meri / J» about  supporting  Economic  issues in Research metallurgical industry. The result of the talks was visiting Igor's visit  next day to the Tokyo office of «Meri / J», where talks were held with the management of the company, headed by its President Yukio Kawaguchi. Both sides agreed to develop contacts in the field of research and development activities, as well as the organization of exchange of experience of the Russian and Japanese scientists.


    In the evening, Igor Khaustov took part in the business dinner with representatives of «ALCONIX» group of companies specializing in the import and export of various consumer goods, as well as in the local business investment. On the next day Igor Khaustov held a meeting with the President of «ALCONIX» group of companies. Both parties have  discussed in detail the export from the Russian Federation, industrial woods, marine resources of the Far East and Japanese imports of industrial goods.


    November 5, 2015, the President  of IICC paid a business visit to the office of  «Sakhagold» company, involved in mining of gold and diamonds in the Russian Federation. He met with the President of the said company Mr. Masahiro Kato. Both  sides discussed issues of joint business, including - finance joint projects in Russia.


    November 6,2015  the President of  ICC  held a business meeting with the advisor of the international company «SAITAMA INDUSTRIAL PROMOTION PUBLIC CORPORATION»  specializing in business support, Mr. Kenji Takayama. Both sides discussed issues of cooperation within the advising Russian and Japanese companies.The meeting ended by the signature of, an Agreement of understanding.
